Electronic signature makes initials obsolete

The electronic signature in 2 minutes

Many new users of the electronic signature want to place a visual signature or paraphrases on each page of their document. Yet this is absolutely useless with modern and secure solutions like Docage’s. Here’s why:

With a paper document the paraphrases, originals handwritten at the bottom of pages, serve to prove that all pages of the document are original and authentic. That there have been no pages replaced, modified or added since the signing.

In a digital transaction with Docage, for example, the integrity of the document is ensured by a cryptographic seal that prevents any further modification of the slightest character or pixel of the sealed document. It should be remembered that even the visual signature in the document has no legal value as such. It is only electronic certificates that are added to the document but not visible directly in the document (but visible and verifiable in the Signatures panel of Acrobat Reader) that give it its legal value.

So don’t forget, the paraphrases belong to the old world, that of paper!
